So I have finally been able to do it. Start up an organization devoted to helping people. In college I always wanted to start a non-profit, and have it grow into something incredible. Spending my time focusing on others needs and how to make sure those needs are met, or even planning fundraiser after fundraiser to help support research for something. The question was always what.
Even though it is starting out very small, it is a start. I feel like my life, outside of my family that is, has a larger purpose now. A Friend's Wish, is happening, we have a fundraiser planned, and I have high hopes for it to become an annual event. Due to the fact that this is actually going to happen it enabled me to start up Cards Cares for Cancer again, which is now known as Jimmy's Friends. You can visit that site at https://sites.google.com/site/jimmyschance/ to read what it is all about. That site is still brand new and needs a lot of addition still before it will be fully functional.
For the time being there is a lot of planning and loose ends that need to be tied up. It is tiring and there have been some late nights. However, I always go to bed feeling like I am going to make a difference. Who knows what else this may inspire me to do. Many ideas, which one will I tackle next?
